What's New at Atlanta Sewing Center

My how the year is flying by . . . Are you sewing something wonderful? Something clever?  Or something useful?  Perhaps a lovely quilt, a gift for a new baby . . . So many things to sew!!!  That’s all right, there is nothing better to do on one of these hot summer days than stay inside and let your creative juices flow with your Bernina or babylock machine.
We’re thrilled that the new Bernina 820, a luxury quilting/garment construction/home décor machine with the longest free arm on the market, is due to arrive at ASC any day now.  Match it up with the new Bernina 10 foot quilting frame and you have the ultimate quilting combo.   The 820 is much like the Bernina 830, but without the embroidery features.  Do come in and take a peek at it—it’s very exciting!
Speaking of exciting, we have a small number of Babylock Top-of-the-Line Ellisimo classroom machines from the American Embroidery Conference at remarkable prices.  Hurry in to your closest ASC and snag one of these great deals!
Bernina has introduced a new embroidery collection entitled, ‘Elegance Entwined’, that is indeed lovely.  You’ll find a chic design for just about every occasion in this collection—it’s truly a must have!
It’s time to register for Camp Sew Fun and Camp Sew Trendy!  These camps are the perfect opportunity for young ladies and young gentlemen to have a great time as they explore sewing.  These camps fill up early, so register your favorite young person(s) today.
Recently ASC enjoyed a visit from HP Ueltschi, Owner of the Bernina Factory in Steckborn, Switzerland.  Several of our customers came in for a chat with HP.  A question was asked concerning Bernina’s commitment to keeping the company in the family and keeping the production in the Swiss factory.  HP’s reply was “my daughter Catharina is now in training to take over the company as the 5th generation owner of Bernina Company.  As far as keeping the production in Switzerland, I know that all the other European machine companies have closed their European production facilities and moved them to Asia.  We at Bernina are committed to keeping most of the production in Switzerland to assure the quality will remain unequaled”.
We at ASC look forward to seeing you this summer.
