Calling all Artista software owners!
An exciting new program is here that will help you get the most from
your embroidery software. Each month through November, ASC
will host a virtual software presentation by a Bernina Educator.
Each month will include a software lesson with instructions for the
various levels of Bernina embroidery
software. You will also receive instructions for using your new software
knowledge to create a project. This class will be hosted via the internet
and conference call using
the latest technology. You will be able to see the Bernina Educator's
computer screen, and hear her presentation.
Duluth’s class is presented at 11:00am.
Marietta’s class is presented at 2:00pm.

professional Window Treatments for your home or start a new career?
Now is the time to join Carol Hayford, a Pam Damour Certified Drapery
Instructor, and learn the professional techniques of the drapery workroom.
The techniques include measuring, calculating yardage, treatment design,
pattern design, fabrication, and installation.
All techniques are designed to use a
regular home sewing machine with the appropriate feet and accessories.
All kits are provided. Class size is limited to 6-8 students. Call

Crazy for Quilting Weekend
Sat & Sun, Feb 27 & 28
Do you need a weekend away from normal
routine? If so, join Lisa Blejwas and Carol Hayford for a Crazy for
Quilting Weekend. This quilting retreat is for new or seasoned quilt
lovers. At this special two-day quilting retreat you will have opportunity
to sew two wonderful projects; a parallelogram and triangle block
hanging and a quilted cosmetic bag. Kits for both projects will be
pre-cut so you concentrate on piecing and quilting techniques. Techniques
covered will include piecing, adding borders, traditional quilting
with the walking foot, free motion quilting and the finishing touch
of a perfect binding.
Your retreat fee includes all kits for
projects, water and snacks. (Don’t forget Lisa and Carol’s
famous goodie bags and raffles!) Some supplies are needed. Early registration
is $189.00. Registration after January 31, 2010 is $199.00.
A deposit of $100.00 is required at
registration. Final payment will be due by February
5, 2010. If you are unable to attend the retreat, you must cancel
by February 5, 2010 to receive your deposit back. We want you to have
the best quilting retreat experience possible, so space is limited.

Embroidery digitizing Retreat
June 11-12, 2010

Join us at the Atlanta Sewing Center in the Duluth store for a two-day
Serger Retreat with Carol Hayford, Martha Pullen Licensed Instructor.
The main event at Serger University
will be a Martha Pullen Serger Blouse. From jeans to dinner suits,
this is a top you can wear with anything. The blouse is composed of
insertions, decorative serger pin tuck and embroidered edgings. The
neck edge is finished with a mock-piping technique using the serger
rolled edge and a fabric binding.
We will also make a zippered bag completed
on the Serger.
Your class fee of $219.00 for this two-day
Serger Retreat includes project kits, snacks and bottled water. You
