Building Blocks: BERNINA V9 Club (Duluth)
If you have Creator or Designer Plus, you can come and learn how to use this excellent software. Each month you will learn a new tool or technique available in BERNINA's V9 embroidery software. This will be a lecture/demo format with hands on lessons. Please bring your laptop with your V9 software loaded and ready to use. An empty USB drive is encouraged also.
August 2nd - Lettering - We will begin with the basic building block of lettering. In Creator level, we will explore different ways to create Knock Down lettering. In DesignerPlus level, we will learn to create a personalized key fob using Artwork Canvas and explore other creative techniques with lettering.
September 6th - Creative Photos - In Creator level, you will create a raw edge quilted design from a photo. In DesignerPlus, you will use the Quilter program to create a pixel quilt from a photo.
October 4th - Editing - What’s all the fuss about formats? Why the format you choose makes a difference in your editing results.
November 1st - Ditigizing - In Creator level, you will learn how to create an edge-to-edge quilting design using the digitizing tools. In DesignerPlus, you will use Artwork Canvas to create quilting block designs.
December 6th - Creative Tools - In Creator level, you will learn how to create designs for use with the Needle punch accessory and Couching Foot # 43. In DesignerPlus, you will create designs for these accessories to embroider.
January 3rd - Settings - This lesson will cover the things we rarely talk about. Let’s learn about underlay, pull compensation, jump stitches, starts and stops, and settings for creating designs for different fabrics.
Class Fee: $35
Class Date: 1st Saturday of each month
Class Time: 10:30am - 1pm
Class fees will be refunded with a store credit if cancelled at least 7 days prior to the class date. On day of class, no refund will be given.
