QUILT: Carnival Flower (TOM) - a Judy Niemeyer project (Duluth)
The Carnival Technique of the Month (TOM) is a 7-Month Workshop. Sewing homework and pre-cutting of fabrics for the next month’s class is a requirement when taking the Technique of the Month IF you want a finished quilt at the end of the workshop.
The first class in March you will purchase and receive your pattern. We will go through the workshop schedule, discuss what’s expected in the homework, get organized, start cutting and organizing the foundation papers for the May class, and Carol will answer any question you may have.
There are two pattern sizes available: Wall size (80" x 80") and Queen (99" x 99"). Please let the ASC know what size quilt pattern you want when you sign up for the class. Pattern Cost to be determined. The patterns are discounted 20% for all students. Carol will accept a check or credit card on the first day of class.
As soon as the pattern is released in January 2023, you can start with picking your Carnival colorway, either use the colorway yardage sheets located on the Quiltworx website or color your quilt on Quiltster.com
If you aren't sure how to choose the right fabrics, don't worry! Carol would be happy to work with you as requested.
Class Fee: $360 for all SEVEN sessions
Class Dates: Fourth Saturday of the month, except for Nov 2023. CLASS WILL NOT MEET IN APRIL.
Class Time: 10:30 - 4:30 (bring your lunch and snacks!)
Kits may be available depending on supply. Let us know if you are interested.

| Instructor Bio: | Carol made her first paper pieced quilt designed by Judy Neimeyer in a class taught by a certified instructor in 2013. She fell in love with the organized preparation and sewing process of the Quiltworx patterns which, sold her on Judy's way! Carol attended more workshops taught by Judy and other certified instructors and with the encouragement of her closest friend, she began the journey of becoming a Quiltworx Certified Instructor. Carol has been teaching classes at quilt shops and guilds in the Atlanta area, and will continue to teach Quiltworx patterns and the Technique of the Month Programs. She loves teaching and seeing people learn and grow more confident in creating beautiful quilts. Carol comes highly recommended by her students, which is how Atlanta Sewing Center discovered her! Carol lives in the Atlanta metro-area and teaches throughout the southeastern region. |
