GARMENTS: Level 1, Intro to KNITS (DULUTH)

Join Hillary for a series of classes to create garments that you will love! Hillary will present a variety of class projects that will focus on choosing the right combination of pattern and fabrics, altering the pattern to fit your body, and  creating professional finishes.

Projects we have in mind include: casual tops from woven fabrics/knits/rayons, leggings from comfy knits to athletic materials, slacks from woven fabrics, jeans (YES, you CAN make your own JEANS!), casual dresses from knits or wovens, pajamas, and lingerie (YES, you CAN make your own panties and bras!)

In these classes you will gain understanding of pattern reading and what all those marks mean.  You will learn how to grade your pattern according to your body - no more awkward gaps or tight spots. We will also have a class on how to use a projector to cut your fabric (NO, you DON'T have to have a paper pattern!)

Be sure to check the calendar for additional classes.  Look for "GARMENTS" to find her classes.  Time in each session/project may vary.
