Are you unsure how to get the most out of your embroidery machine and all the hoops and accessories that go along with it? Let Melissa walk you through, step-by-step. This is a great opportunity to build on your machine training class so you are able to do the fun and beautiful things you've been dreaming about.

This class is created by BERNINA and will teach you how to embroider on just about everything that can be embroidered upon. Beginning with quilting cotton and moving through different types of fabrics and pre-made items / blanks (including socks!), you will progress through the year learning new and fun techniques to get great results. This is a Skill Hub class, taught by official BERNINA educators. Each lesson will include a video, instructions, and design files for you to use as you learn and hone your embroidery skills. All participants must purchase a BERNINA Skill Hub redemption code card ($300) before their first class, which are available in the store. This will provide access for two years from the date of online registration with your code.  

The techniques are common to machine embroidery and usually apply to other embroidery machines. Melissa will help you navigate the instructions for yours! (Designs for the classes are available in several formats.)

You will need to bring your machine with correct foot, hoop, and embroidery threads. An email will be sent out approximately a week ahead of class. 

January 24th - Lesson 1 - Quilting Cotton - learn to embroider on medium weight wovens and use it to make a fun banner for your sewing room. Hoop: Large Oval or about 6 x 9 inches

February 21st - Lesson 2 - In The Hoop - make a fully lined zipper bag in just a few short steps. Hoop: Midi or about 6 x 10 inches

March 21st - Lesson 3 - Applique - try a popular patch project to make with embroidery and practice applique skills. Hoop: Small Clamp or about 4 x 4 inches


Cost : $25/session - first 3 after purchase of Skill Hub code card are FREE!!!

Class fee includes fabric or blank and stabilizer. You will provide threads and any other accessories to complete project unless otherwise noted. All participants must purchase a BERNINA Skill Hub redemption code card, which are available in the store. The cards retail price is $300, please see a store associate for details. Once purchased, your first three (3) in-store sessions will be free!

Class fees will be refunded with a store credit if cancelled at least 7 days prior to the class date. On day of class, no refund will be given.
