Elemental Coat Class

Have you been wanting a cozy quilted jacket of your very own? Is the thought of making a garment intimidating? Never fear, the Elemental Coat is here!

The Elemental Coat is a loose-fitting, slightly A-line quilt coat with options! Choose from the full-length, mid-length, and cropped length, with a hood or collar, as well as 3/4 or full-length sleeves. It was designed and written for quilters with easy construction methods and skills you already have. 

Let Susan guide you in the cutting and construction of your cozy, comfy quilted coat! 

You will need (see pattern and instructor's email for more details):
- A quilt - depending on the options you choose and the size you need, a large twin or full-sized quilt can work well
- Fabric to coordinate for your binding
- Sewing Machine in good working order that you are comfortable using
- General sewing supplies

All students are expected to have their pattern/style options and size chosen before class. You will need to trace and prepare the pattern pieces for your chosen style ready when class begins. We have the pattern and tracing paper available in the store, and can help with choosing a size if you need encouragement. 

Those who sew quickly will likely get most of the coat finished. Those who know they are slower sewists will have more to finish afterwards. All students will practice the techniques needed to complete the coat during instruction time.

Class fees will be refunded with a store credit if cancelled at least 7 days prior to the class date. On day of class, no refund will be given.
