Sewing Knits: Basic T-Shirt

Have you been dabbling in small sewing projects to get your feet wet with your machine, but want to try clothing?

Are you a quilter who longs to sew something comfy to wear that will look good dressed up or down?

A basic knit t-shirt is a great place to start! Let Elizabeth guide you through sewing on knits for the first time, or the first time in a long time! She will introduce you to the ways knits are different from sewing with a woven fabric, setting you up for success. You will learn about what needles, stitches, and threads to use. You will learn about following a pattern, how to choose the best size for you, in addition to how to use modern PDF and projector patterns.

Session 1:
     - Introduction to knit fabrics
     - Pattern literacy & sizing
     - Cutting & marking
Session 2:
     - Machine calibration
     - Sewing order
     - Finishing touches
